Beehive quilling !@!

Beehive quilling  obsession is on these days for me.  :)    Loving this new quilling technique.  Glad that my dear sister Lavina di introduced me to this. Well, this wonderful art is inspired by our dear blogger friend Pritesh. She creates beautiful projects of quilling. My husband is helping me in clicking better pictures these days. I am happy with the pastel color combination of this card as it came out just in theme of the colorful festive season.

Congratulations Card

Yessss I made this lovely card for my husband. He cleared a big big exam and its 'Another feather in his cap'. He just told me about the result on phone and was about to reach home in an hour. I was so so overjoyed and to express that I then just made it. This design is inspired from a card I picked up while randomly surfing web. I do not have the link now to credit the creator. We loved it :) .

I m really sorry for not having name of the original creator of this card. Would love to credit her.

Ceramic Mirror

I made this mirror frame using ceramic powder, paints and sequins for the circles. Though the sequins work is not very clear in the picture and I don't have a closer one. It can be modified to make a photo frame as well.

Pen holder

I made this purple pen holder with a useless carton as its base. The decorative beautiful purple paper is from an old wedding card of my relative. Wedding cards these days comes up with gorgeous textured papers. I dont waste them instead use it to make traditional envelopes or for this kinda purpose. The flower is origami kusudamas flower . I just learnt making it and loved its shape and petals. Planning to make more projects using these pretty flowers. The triangular shape of the holder was fun to stick. It gives a different feeling of joy to make things out of waste.

Sending it to

Happy Bday Mommy

Swing Card

Another side
My Mummy is fond of peacock feather. Whenever I ask her for a suggestion while decorating anything , she always comes up with a mor pankh or chunri paper (peacock feather or red printed paper). So I thought to quill a feather for her. Distance increases  love , truly said. Never in my life, had I made a card for my mom... but now when we are in two different cities I designed one...and am so excited ... and even more to hear to her comments. Though she is yet to receive it. Hope u like it.

Birthday Card for sweet SiS :)

We (me n my husband) r yet to hand deliver it to didi.. just mailed her the pics and tried to show our love for her. Waiting eagerly for her to come down to India.
I had great fun making this card. Butterfly , Flowers and the Stand pattern all together.  Enjoyed it and loved it with the message
"Butterflies are sent from Heaven to remind you that angels are always with you . So Whisper a wish to a butterfly, and it will fly up to heaven and make it come true . Happy Birthday"

Birthday Card for Valentine ;)

Red is my favorite color. Also is a color of  LOVE . I made this card for my valentine on his 25th Birthday  . Hence the inside part is sparkling silver.  Red goes lovely with silver. Flowers are punched. I used fine tiny beads to outline the heart. Rose is made out of a piece of cloth . The red paper is self embossed. So, lot of working over it was not needed.

T shirt Painting

Fabric Painting

It was really hard to decide a design or a clip art to paint on a  tshirt. Even more as I wanted to gift it to my would be husband. Lots of thoughts were in my mind. Didn't know would he like it or not. Hopefully he would not find it funny and kiddo etc etc.

Then mummy helped me and we finalized 'Hum Tum' clip art after many ifs and buts. I sketched it directly on cloth. No tracing paper was used and just painted in 2 sittings as i wanted to complete it ASAP. My most favorite gift.

The reaction i got after he received this was aweeeee... he just loved it.Wore it next day and sent me this click. :) :)

3 Folds Card

Front View

Flipping One fold

3 Folds opened
I liked this concept of half fold with one print and half another.. still I believe this will look more beautiful with more bright prints. The flower is made up of punch craft joining many flowers together. Hope u like it !!

Colourful Stripped Card

Best part I like about this card is the bow.. I made it using two different paper.. and it came out so neat.
I m starting card making again after few months and back in this ( ever changing and improving with innovative ideas) field, I feel wow !! Lots of new things to create. :)

Hence, trying out my ideas. It is such a great pleasure to see the complete card at the end and pleasure multiplies after hearing words of appreciation.

Its a simple yet attractive card that highlights the use of various patterned strips in the square. Square could be modified to any other shape , may be a lovely heart for lovers ;)

Dry Fruit Packing.

This "chakri" i made on the occasion of sankranti for packing dry fruits for my would be in laws. Initially i thought of taking a ready made chakri and cut it and decorate... but the size i was getting was not meeting my requirement.

So i choose to make it myself using pipe.I decorated its body using a nice glossy sheet of paper and flowers..

Side walls are made up of card board , decorated using  ceramic cone making warli designs all over.. warli designs are the best option to decorate anything traditionally..
