This used to be a ... chocolate box

Hi all .. How are you all doing?? I am totally engrossed in making crafty stuff these days.. Also preparing myself for the coming festive season. I love festivals .. Ganpati , Durga puja then dussera and then Diwali.. super excited ;-)

Made this gift box yesterday out of a chocolate box which my husband gifted me ( I am very fond of chocolates) . I have rolled tissue  paper to make the outer boundary . Decorated it with some quilled flowers , beads , bling flower and a bow . The cute birdie is stamped and cut.

Talking Owl

Hi... I was craving to make cards since long. Workshops and big projects were on my list since last month so I happened to ignore card making.
But made 3 card yesterday as I got free from rest of the things.Sharing one of them. Just started without planning and landed up with this. Isn't it really cute.

The owl is hand cut from a brochure that came along with the news paper. I had two of them so I overlapped both with two sider tape . The PP is from docraft- Daisy & Dandelion and doily from dear Jovi's store. Added a fringe flower and few black rhinestones .

So this card goes perfectly for Indira's  Mega celebration challenge by Priya- pink , white and splash of black. And yes, To impress her I have recycled owls which is dominating in the card. :) :)

Pen holder

I made this purple pen holder with a useless carton as its base. The decorative beautiful purple paper is from an old wedding card of my relative. Wedding cards these days comes up with gorgeous textured papers. I dont waste them instead use it to make traditional envelopes or for this kinda purpose. The flower is origami kusudamas flower . I just learnt making it and loved its shape and petals. Planning to make more projects using these pretty flowers. The triangular shape of the holder was fun to stick. It gives a different feeling of joy to make things out of waste.
